If you're not prepared for the next day, you'll be unable to handle the challenges of the next year. Resilience training is something you need in your life to cope with issues. Let's go into the many reasons why you should try Resilience Training:
The most important reason for increasing your Resilience is that you need to deal with the ups and downs of life’s challenges. Dealing with stress, problems and challenges is crucial for all of us, as they are a regular part of life.
The benefits of Resilience Training
With Resilience Training, you can expect the following benefits:- Increased Resilience
- Increased understanding of how to handle life’s daily challenges
- Greater ability to cope with stress
- Greater ability to understand the triggers for your stress
- Improved overall performance in any situation and greater success in both your personal and professional life
- More motivation to get on with life and stay positive
- Understanding of how to focus on what you can control, rather than what you can’t
- Greater sense of satisfaction and contentedness
- Greater levels of overall productivity
- Improved quality of life and general well-being
How to take measures to increase your Resilience
You can do many things to develop your Resilience, and they don’t always have to be major ones. For example, you can monitor the language you use in everyday situations and when you talk to yourself. Are you using positive language or do you fall into the trap of pessimistic language? The more you can stay optimistic (even when times are hard), the greater your ability to build Resilience. One example of this is something that I heard someone say just yesterday: “Oh it always rains here”. While it is true that that it was raining, I pointed out that the day before had been a beautiful sunny day. What difference does it make? Over-generalising is not good for your Resilience because it makes it seem that everything is already decided and there is nothing you can do about it. If you want to know more about how the way you talk affects your Resilience, then take a loo at Module 6 in our online Resilience Training – Optimism v Pessimism. https://www.resilience-training.org.uk/modules/module-6-optimism-v-pessimism/?course_id=12110Conclusion
There are many reasons you need to start doing Resilience Training. Some reasons include: being well prepared to handle challenges; boosting your self-confidence and self-esteem; knowing how to manage stress and stay positive even during difficult times; and identifying what you really want from lifeRelated Articles
